“It’s a pumpkin baked bread pudding that is sliced and crisped on our flat top, finished with local Wigle whiskey maple syrup, sweet whipped cream and fresh berries. Just a subtle fall twist to a breakfast classic,” he says.

In 2008, San Mateo County growers raised pumpkins on 263 acres. By 2017, pumpkins grew on just 167 acres. There were fewer pumpkin farms but still plenty of buyers, particularly each October during Half Moon Bay’s Art & Pumpkin Festival, a two-day celebration that can draw 200,000 people, clog roads for miles and raise millions of dollars for nonprofit groups and vendors.

Taco Bell recently released the limited edition Watermelon Freeze just in time for the start of summer on Thursday, June 21, and there’s no shortage of sweet and fruity flavor. The frozen pink beverage is blended with ice for a deliciously refreshing taste of watermelon. The Watermelon Freeze is basically like scarfing down a juicy piece of watermelon, but this time in the form of a cup (and minus all of those pesky black seeds that tend to get in the way).
